How do the ingredients in Fungistop treat fungal infections?

TEA TREE OIL

Tea Tree Oil has been proven effective against multiple dermatophytes found on the skin. Tea Tree Oil is soothing and has a long history of traditional use as a remedy for skin infections, especially against fungus.

EUCALYPTUS OIL

Has powerful anti-microbial activity and fungicidal effect. It has a clear, thin appearance that provides a fresh, cooling, and soothing sensation.

It is also fortified with UNDECENOIC ACID which has strong scientific data that details its antifungal properties.

# Anti-microbial Activity Challenge Test (Time-kill Study). Demonstrated anti-microbial activity against Trichophyton mentagrophytes ATCC 9533, Trichophyton rubrum and Candida albicans ATCC 10231 after 2 hours and 4 hours contact times. Directions:

Read all directions and warnings before use. Clean affected area with soap and warm water and dry thoroughly. Using the brush-on applicator, apply a thin layer of Dermal Therapy Fungistop™ over the affected area twice daily (morning and night) or as directed by a doctor. Treating fungal nail infections: Apply to top, underneath and sides of affected nail. Use twice daily until condition improves or clears. Treating Tinea and Athlete's Foot: Apply to affected area, paying particular attention to the spaces between the toes. Use twice daily for 4 weeks. Replace cap and tighten after each use.

Active Ingredients: Melaleuca Oil 250mg/g, Eucalyptus Oil 20mg/g, Myrrh Oil 5mg/g, Pine Oil Aromatic 5mg/g.

Other Ingredients: Undecenoic Acid, Macrogol 400, Isopropyl Alcohol, Tocopheryl Acetate, Butylated  Hydroxytoluene.

Warnings: For external use only. Do not use on children under 2 years of age unless directed by a doctor. Extremely flammable. Keep away from fire or flame. Avoid smoking during use and until product has dried. Keep out of reach of children. Not to be taken. In case of ingestion, consult a doctor or poison control centre immediately. If irritation occurs, discontinue use. Consult a doctor if there is no improvement within 4 weeks. If symptoms persist consult your doctor. Do not use if cap seal is broken. Store below 30°C in a dry place.
