DESCRIPTION

Carnitine is required to transport fatty acids into the mitochindrial matrix so that they can be broken down via beta-oxidation to provide energy.

Acetyl L-Carnitine is a form of carnitine that is efficiently absorbed and involved in a multitude of metabolic processes in the human body. Supplementary Acetyl L-Carnitine can assist fat burning and exercise performance as well as help improve memory and neural function.

Carnitine has a number of functions in the body that may positively affect exercise performance. It increases blood flow by enhancing fatty acid oxidation in the arterial wall and it detoxifies ammonia, which is a metabolic by-product associated with fatigue.

The acetyl group on ALC may be utilised for production of energy in the Krebs cycle. This frees an important co-factor (CoA) which is required for the conversion of carbohydrates to energy.

Directions:

2 Capsules twice daily (2000mg)

Have two capsules with a glass of water first thing in the morning.
Take another two capsules 60 minutes prior to exercise.
Alternatively, take the second dose mid-afternoon on an empty stomach.

Best results are achieved in conjunction with a diet low in saturated fats with plenty of vegetables and low G.I. carbohydrate sources. Four exercise sessions per week of 40 minutes minimum are recommended.
